If you’ve got a lunch break, you’ve got time to move your body.

The key? A little planning. Let’s talk about how to make it happen without feeling rushed or stressed.

Workout First, Eat After

If you have an hour for lunch, don’t waste it scrolling on your phone or debating whether you feel like working out (spoiler: you’ll probably talk yourself out of it). Instead, use the first half of your break to get in a workout—whether that’s a quick strength session, a jog, or even a walk—then spend the rest of your break cooling down and refueling.

Wear Your Gym Clothes in the Morning

If your job allows, throw on your workout clothes in the morning. That way, you don’t waste precious time changing before your workout—you just get straight to it. Plus, when you’re already dressed for the gym, you’re way more likely to actually work out.

If You’re on the Road, Use What’s Available

If you’re out and about for work, keep an eye out for gyms or fitness studios along your route. A quick 30-minute session is all you need, and many places offer day passes or drop-in classes.

Meal Prep to Save Time

The last thing you want after a workout is to spend your whole break cooking. This is where meal prepping saves the day! Have easy, ready-to-go meals in the fridge that you can just heat up and enjoy. Think protein-packed bowls, pre-made salads, or simple stir-fries. This way, you can refuel without stress and still have time to relax before getting back to work.

Make It a Habit

The first few times might take some effort, but once you get into the groove, lunch break workouts will become second nature, and you’ll feel more energized for the rest of the day!
