Beautiful daughter of God,

Your Father, The King of Kings has a powerful calling on your life. He has good plans for you.

If Joseph looked at his circumstances instead of what God said, if he looked at how people felt about him, or what his family was saying about him, or how they treated him, he could've felt sorry for himself and just given up in life. God was using all of those negative people and negative circumstances to get Joseph exactly where He wanted him. You think it's against you but it's for you.

If David looked at his circumstances, or how his family treated him, or what they thought about him, and what they said to him, instead of what God said, he could've been discouraged, bitter, and felt bad about himself. David was in a field tending sheep, but The Lord was training him up in that field. David stood up against the opposition when his brother came against him at the Valley of Elah, and he took down Goliath. I want you to notice that he had opposition right before he took down Goliath. His brother didn't believe in him and even falsely accused him of being prideful and insolent. But guess what? He killed the giant. The opposition, the lies, the rejection; it can't stop you unless you let it.

God gave Joseph dreams as a kid and showed him what position he would be in one day. All that happened in his life brought that to pass. Being rejected, left for dead in a pit, sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused of a crime, thrown in prison, forgotten by the chief butler for two years. All of it got Joseph exactly where God wanted him to fulfill his purpose. Even prison served a purpose. Read Genesis 37-50 for Joseph's whole story.

David was anointed to be king as a teenager but he didn't become king until he was 30. For years he was shepherding sheep, then he was an armourbearer and musician for the king. At first the king loved him but then he began to hate David and tried to kill him multiple times. Read 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel for the whole story. David went through a lot, but God's hand was on his life and everything got him where he needed to be.

Your circumstances, how people have treated you, what people have said about you may look one way, but what God says about you is what stands. You are not who other people say you are. You are not who those circumstances have made you feel you are. In both Joseph and David's lives their families were against them, as well as powerful people. In Joseph's case Potiphar's wife and in David's case king Saul. The opposition wasn't because they did anything wrong. Both men were upright before The Lord. Bad things may have happened in your life, but no one can stop God's plans for your life.

Your thoughts, ideas and beliefs about who you are need to be rooted and grounded in Christ and who He says you are. The enemy doesn't want you to step into God's calling for your life, so he tries to make you believe you're not good enough and tries to make you wallow in self pity. You must take every thought captive! Seek The Lord and ask Him to reveal who you truly are in Christ. Rise up in the fullness of your identity in Him. The enemy doesn't want you to do that because then you'll become a threat to his kingdom. He doesn't want you to understand who you are; the woman God created you to be. He wants you to look around you and allow your circumstances to define you. He wants you to listen to the voices that have spoken against you and believe those words. He wants you to be held down so that you never step into the fullness of your identity and calling.

2 Corinthians 10: 3-6

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Everything that is contrary to God's knowledge we cast it down. God knows who you are. God says who you are. God knows who He created you to be. In Jeremiah 1 we see God is telling Jeremiah, "I made you for this purpose." Jeremiah's response, "I can't. I'm young." God's reply, "Do not say that. You shall go, do and speak what I command you to."

Jeremiah 1:4-8

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”

7 But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.

What He says about you is what HE KNOWS TO BE TRUE. It's time to stop believing lies about who the world tells you you are, or who the past has said that you are, or who people have said that you are. He knows the things which you believe are limitations in your life and He's saying, "Do not say that." It's not a limitation. You can and you will do what God has made you for. You are who God says you are!

David's father didn't bring him before Samuel until Samuel asked for him. (1 Samuel 16: 1-13) David's brother, Eliab came against him for coming out to the battle at the Valley of Elah. (1 Samuel 17: 28-30) Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery. Your family's disagreement is not a sign that God is against you. Your family's rejection is not God's rejection. God is for you. God CHOSE YOU.

It's time to arise and become ALL that God has called you to be. You are a warrior. You are a soldier for The Kingdom of God. (1 Timothy 2:3, Ephesians 6:10-18) Step into who God says you are. It's time to come out of agreement with the lies and to choose to believe all that God says about you. You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. You are not less than. You are not unworthy. You are not unloved. You are not unlovable. You are not rejected.

You are called. You are chosen. You are loved by God. You are a daughter of The Almighty God, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places. (Ephesians 2:5-7) You are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) You are the head and not the tail. You are above only and not beneath. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

All that has happened in your life has brought you to this moment. It's not a loss, it's not a waste. It got you here. You are who God says you are, and you are called to do all that God has for you. When thoughts and feelings arise that disagree with God's Word over your life, cast it down. "I cancel that thought in the name of Jesus." "I reject that thought in the name of Jesus."

Remind yourself of what God says about you. It's time to rise beautiful daughter of God!

Bible References (NKJV)

1 Timothy 2:3

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

Philippians 2:25

Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to my need;

Philemon 1:2

to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

Ephesians 2:5-7

even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:31-39

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 28:13

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

1 Samuel 16: 1-13

Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.”

But the Lord said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you.”

So Samuel did what the Lord said, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, “Do you come peaceably?”

And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.

So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

So Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 10 Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.”

And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.” 12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

1 Samuel 17: 28-30

28 Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”

29 And David said, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?” 30 Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did.

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
