Pray For God To Heal Our Land

Lately, I’ve felt a burden on my heart to pray for our land. Scripture tells us, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Our land is polluted. Our water carries residues it was never meant to hold, chemical runoff, pharmaceuticals, chlorine, fluoride. Our soil has been stripped and saturated, sprayed with pesticides and forced into vast stretches of monocrops that leave it depleted and fragile. Even the skies have been altered through chemtrails and cloudseeding.

This is not how it was meant to be.

God gave humanity the charge to steward the earth, to tend it with wisdom, humility, and care. Somewhere along the way, convenience replaced reverence. Productivity replaced patience. Control replaced trust.

And now, the land reflects it.

We need God to do what only He can do: to restore what has been damaged, to purify what has been polluted, to bring life back to the barren places. We need to fix our systems, and our priorities, so that no farther damage occurs.

God is a Redeemer. He specializes in resurrection. He brings beauty from ashes and life from dust. May we humble ourselves enough to ask Him to heal the mess we’ve made and to teach us how to walk differently going forward, with honest stewardship and wise leadership.
